Is this another auto-apply tool?
No. NextBeacon never applies to a job for you, in bulk or one at a time. It finds and scores postings and prepares your résumé. You read it, you open the employer's page, and after your review you submit the application. Nothing is ever sent in your name without you.
Will the AI make things up on my résumé?
It is built not to. Before a résumé is saved, every number, employer, job title, degree and certification is checked word for word against your own CV, and anything that is not there is removed. AI can still make mistakes, so read every résumé and letter before you send it. You always have the final say.
I am not technical. Can I set this up?
Yes. You run one installer. It checks that your PC is ready, installs everything it needs, and opens a page-by-page setup that asks plain questions: your résumé, the roles you want, your pay floor, remote or on-site, and the companies to watch. There is no command window and no code. Plan on about half an hour: the installer takes around ten minutes and the setup questions the rest.
Where does my information go?
It stays on your PC. Your résumé, your profile and your job history live in files on your own computer, and NextBeacon LLC never receives them. Three things do leave your PC, so you know. The AI work runs through your own Claude account, so posting text and parts of your résumé and profile go to Anthropic. And each morning's report (that day's companies, roles, scores and pay) passes through NextBeacon's sending service on its way to your inbox; the service sends it and keeps no copy. And once a day NextBeacon checks your license with that service and sends it a few counts (how many postings were scanned and scored and, unless you switch it off, how many you applied to), never a company, a job title or a line of your résumé. The full details are on the privacy page.
What is Claude, and why do I need an account?
Claude is the AI from Anthropic that reads postings, scores them and drafts your résumés. NextBeacon uses it through an account that belongs to you, so your information is never pooled with anyone else's. You pay Anthropic for that plan directly, about $20 a month for Claude Pro. If you do not have Claude on your PC yet, download it from Anthropic. If your plan lapses, the AI features pause until you renew it. NextBeacon Lite does not use Claude, so it needs no account.
What is NextBeacon Lite?
The same tool without the AI. Lite watches the companies you choose, keeps the postings whose titles match the roles you want, ranks each one Strong, Possible or Weak fit by comparing the posting with your titles, your résumé, your pay floor and your remote setting, and emails you the list every morning. It does not score postings 1 to 5, explain its reasoning, or write résumés, cover letters or application answers. It needs no separate AI account. If you later want the full product, press Unlock in the app, pay the $170 difference, and the full features switch on in place, no reinstall.
Is there a subscription?
Not to NextBeacon. You pay once, $299 for NextBeacon or $129 for NextBeacon Lite, and it is licensed to you for one Windows PC with no end date. If it is not for you, ask within seven days for a full refund. The only running cost is your own Claude plan, and Lite has none.
Does it work on a Mac?
Not yet. NextBeacon runs on Windows 10 and 11. If you only have a Mac, please do not buy it yet.
Can it read every company's job board?
Most of them. NextBeacon reads the job boards that companies publish on, and it finds a company's board when you type the company's name. A few large employers block automated reading of their career pages, and those cannot be scanned. You can still add them and check them by hand.
Does it promise interviews or offers?
No, and nobody honestly can. NextBeacon helps you choose well and apply well. A score is an opinion about fit, not a prediction. Whether you get the job depends on you, the employer and the market.
Who is behind this?
NextBeacon is built and run by NextBeacon LLC, a one-person Colorado company. Its founder created the tool to help friends navigate a tough job market, and the terms reflect that it is one person's company.
